Anti-Ragging Cell

Definition of Anti-Ragging Cell:

As per UGC’s 3rd Amendment to Regulations, dated June 29, 2016, the definition of ragging has been broadened to encompass the following acts:

Ragging is defined as any form of physical or psychological abuse, including bullying and exclusion, directed at a fellow student, be they a fresher or otherwise. Such actions are based on factors such as colour, race, religion, caste, ethnicity, gender (including transgender identity), sexual orientation, appearance, nationality, regional origins, linguistic identity, place of birth, place of residence, or economic background.

  3. Swift Action: To promptly address any issues related to ragging, applying appropriate measures to resolve the situation and provide justice to victims.
